Tamatha L. Taylor

March 4, 1967 — August 29, 2021

Tamatha Louise Taylor, also known as "Tami", passed away on August 29, 2021 surrounded by family and loved ones at home in Saint Cloud, FL.

Tami was born on March 4th, 1967 in Winter Park, FL to Michael P. Corkum Sr. and Trena L. Corkum. As a young girl she grew up in Orlando, FL and graduated from Saint Cloud High School. She found the love of her life, Mitchell Alan Taylor, and they married on February 14, 1986. They have been married for 35 years and have one son, Edward Michael Taylor ("Michael"). They lived in Casselberry, FL for 26 years before relocating to Saint Cloud. Tami and her husband are faithful members of the Zion Free Will Baptist Church in Sanford, FL.

She loved being surrounded by family and friends. She loved children so much that after having her own, she started her own daycare company, and was very active in the local elementary school PTA. She loved taking vacations and cruises, visiting beaches, and going to Disney; but for the most part, she never cared about the destination, but that her loved ones were with her. She was always the one behind the camera taking photos and videos because she wanted to see everyone's smile, but her smile will forever be missed.

She was very active in church and loved to share her faith with others as the Sunday school teacher, using her love for crafts to teach them how to be young Christians. She also enjoyed making personalized crafts, brightening up any party or occasion, or just to cheer someone up.She wanted everyone she met to be treated like family and would always put others first. Her laughter was contagious and so was her kindness.

Many loved ones have gone before her including but not limited to, her grandmother Emogene D. Tate, her grandfather Raymond F. Tate; her grandmother Helena Corkum, her grandfather Gerard A. Corkum; her aunt Patsy ("Tater") Cooper, her aunt Linda Ratliff; her best friend Kathy Bears. She made everyone part of her family which helped make her the beautiful person we all loved. She is survived by her loving husband, Mitchell Alan Taylor; son, Edward Michael Taylor and his wife Joanna Taylor; father, Michael P. Corkum, Sr.; mother, Trena L. Corkum; brother, Michael P. Corkum, Jr.; uncle, Glenn Cooper; uncle, Jimmy Spencer; uncle, Don Ratliff, and a multitude of friends. All who knew her will miss her greatly.
