Temistocles "Temy" Diaz , age 84, of Oviedo, FL, formerly of Orlando, passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2019 in St. Cloud, FL.
Tim was born on July 31, 1934 in Guaynabo, PR; son of the late Aristides and Alva Diaz (Negron) . On December 20, 1959, he married Lourdes Maria Correa. Tim served in the United States Army from 1954 to 1956, and later worked for the Social Security Administration before his retirement. He loved sports; baseball, basketball and football were his favorites.
Tim is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Lourdes; his daughter, Mari Norman and her husband, Michael, of Oviedo; son, Aristides Diaz and his wife, Julie, of Orlando; daughter, Alba Diaz of Orlando, FL; and daughter Sandra Diaz of Largo, FL. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Katheryne, Tehani, and Lukas; one great-grandchild, Dante; two sisters; and three brothers.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Diana Diaz, and a grandson, Christopher Deyo.
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2019 at 11:00 am at Newcomer Funeral Home – East Orlando Chapel, 895 S. Goldrenrod Rd, Orlando, FL 32822.
The United States Army Honor Guard will render military honors reflective of Tim's honorable service.
Visitation with the family will precede the service from 10:30 am to 11:00 am at the Funeral Home.
Interment will follow at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, Mims, FL.
