Thomas M. Floyd, Jr., age 89, of Orlando, passed away on February 16, 2012 and was buried at the National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. He is preceded in death by his parents Thomas M. Floyd and Medra Sweet Floyd and sisters Irene Jeanette Floyd, Elizabeth Sheriff and Betty Brown. He is survived by his wife Pauline Cole Floyd, daughter Debra Lynn Floyd McGann, grandsons Christopher Thomas Isbell and Ted Schuyler Isbell, sister Joyce Brown and brothers Ted Henry Floyd and Ned Ross Floyd.
As a WWII veteran he was awarded the Presidential Citation, two Bronze Stars and numerous other awards and medals. After the war he enlisted in the USAF and was stationed at McCoy AFB, Orlando where he retired from the Department of Defense after 27 years of service. Later he co-formed the Lewis-Floyd Insurance Agency. He was known to his friends and family as an easy-going, optimistic, and loving husband, dad, brother and friend. He will be dearly missed but forever remembered.
