Thomas (Lloyd) Wimbush passed away on March 11, 2021. He was born on August 12, 1947 in Danville, Virginia. A hard worker, he held many jobs in his lifetime, but retired as a Maintenance Technician. He loved cars, namely his Camaro and Durango, that he always kept pristine clean. He loved watching Gunsmoke and 3abn, napping, eating his wife's cooking and spending time with family. His favorite food was kabobs, KFC, steamed snapper, and subway and he also had a sweet tooth for butter pecan ice cream, candy, and cake. He also loved to sing and listen to music.
Lloyd was someone that would drop whatever he was doing to give a helping hand, always eager to lend his talent and expertise for handy work to friends and family working on construction or auto projects.
He is preceded in death by His parents, Rosa and Weldon Wimbush, younger brothers Chauncey and John Wimbush. He is survived by his beloved Wife of 20 years, Michelle Wimbush, Son Donnavan, Daughter-in law Ebony and Daughter Deandra, along with his cherished grandchildren Daniella and Andre. Along with his Aunt Dorothy, Aunt Marilyn, Uncle Leslie, Niece Ramona and cousins, Tim and Thythes.
Thomas accepted Christ and was baptized into the New Hope Seventh Day Adventist Church where he served as a proud deacon and will be missed by all of his church brothers and sisters.
He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin, friend, son in-law, brother-in-law, and neighbor. Sociable, jovial, caring, easy-going, faithful, encouraging, supportive, determined, fearless, strong, he was a protector, provider and strong tower for the family and will be missed beyond measure.
The family will receive Friends on Sunday March 28, 2021 from 10:00am -11:00am, When services will begin at 11:00am. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 895 South Goldenrod Road, Orlando, FL 32822. Interment will follow at All Faith Memorial Park.
