Tim Popejoy passed away suddenly in his home on February 9, 2012. He is survived by his parents, Jeneane (Bill) Popejoy and William (Doris) McCuen, Siblings: Dr. Michael (Jean) Popejoy, Beverly Humphries, Steve (Pam) McCuen, Steve Hall, Rick Hall, Vicki Sue Popejoy, Aunt and Uncle: Dr. Carol and Skip Wilson and cousin Jay Wilson, and eleven nieces and nephews.
Tim earned his Undergraduate degree from the University of Central Florida and went on to earn a Masters at The University of Southwestern Louisiana in 1983. During his career, he was a technical director/engineer for Oprah Winfrey Productions, and was the video producer on a National Geographic special the Caracol Project, an archaeological excavation of a Mayan site in Belize, Central America and Tikal, Guatemala. He had taught as an adjunct professor at the University of Central Florida in the field of television and radio production.
Tim was also an avid modeler and a member of the Black Pistons and later the Outlaws motorcycle club of Orange County.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00AM, Saturday, February 18, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 895 S. Goldenrod Road, Orlando.
