Timothy D. Messenger, age 71, of Orlando, Florida went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, August 18, 2022 at Winter Park Hospital.
On October 23, 1950, Tim was born in Marion, Ohio to the late Carl Jr. and Ondie (French) Messenger. After graduating from Harding High School Class of 1969, Tim joined the United States Air Force and then married soon after. While enlisted in the Air Force, Tim served in Vietnam. During his enlistment, and shortly after returning from overseas, Tim's three (3) children were born. In 1985 Tim moved his family to the Central Florida area, where he has since remained.
Tim was very handy and oftentimes had a large project he was working on. His vast knowledge of automobiles, construction, wood working, and ingenious problem-solving skills led him to a career as a claim adjuster for automobiles, and later homes. During his career, Tim travelled the United States extensively, to asses storm damaged properties, eventually leading him through 48 states.
While working at Crawford and Company, Tim met his partner, Alma. The two have continued to share experiences, trips, and cherished moments for over 25 years.
Left to cherish Tim's memory are: his partner, Alma Moore, of Orlando, Florida; his brother, Phillip Messenger, and his wife Bonnie, of Temple Terrace, Florida; his sister, Anne Hanson, and her husband, Melvin, of Marion, Ohio; his son Jeff Messenger, and his partner, Kimberly Soto, of Nashville, Tennessee; his daughter, Jacquie Dunbar, and her husband, David, of Orlando, Florida; his daughter Julie Toney, and her husband, Mike, of Asheville, North Carolina; his seven grandchildren: Kyle Plemmons, JennaLee Toney, Harrison Messenger, Kayla Messenger, Logan Toney, Connor Messenger, and Trenton Toney; several nieces, nephews, and extended family who will miss him greatly.
