Tita Kersey, 53, of Orlando, Florida passed away on Friday, December 18, 2020. She was born on June 28, 1967 in Mobile, Alabama.
Tita moved to Orlando and began working at Walt Disney World in 1987. She worked at Walt Disney World for 33 years, spending most of her career in the wardrobe department dressing performers for all of the shows in Hollywood Studios (Tita was even the first person to open up the Buzz Lightyear costume when it arrived from California). Walt Disney World was a special place for Tita, made even more so because it was also where she met her husband, Jimmie, 32 years ago.
Tita was affectionately known as "Tink" because of her sassy personality and love for Tinkerbell. She was a very active member of her church (First Baptist Church of Kissimmee) and loved being a part of the church choir department. Tink will be dearly missed.
Tita is survived by her beloved husband, Jimmie, and her niece and nephew, Riley and Liam.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 from 1:00PM to 4:00PM with a funeral service at 3:00PM at Newcomer Funeral Home (Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - East Orlando), 895 S. Goldenrod Road, Orlando, Florida 32822.
Interment will be held at Pinecrest Cemetery in Vidalia, Georgia at a later date.
