Mr. Toney Burgess Goble, 82, of Orlando passed from this life on April 7, 2016 following a long battle with COPD. He was born on February 21, 1934 in Louisa, KY and was raised in Chattaroy, WV. His parents Ira and Bertha (Hughes) Goble preceded him in death, as did a brother, Lynn T. Goble of Waverly, OH.
Surviving are his wife, Beverly M. Morton-Goble of Orlando, a brother, Manuel G. Goble (Jean) of Charleston, WV and a sister, Dorella Adair of Huntington, WV. He is also survived by a niece Pamela Lane (Jeff) of Melbourne, FL and nephews, Mark Goble (Maggie) of Trenton, FL, Steve Goble (Geri) of Jeromesville, OH, Clark Goble (Stephanie) of Chillicothe, OH, Jerry Adair (Galina) of Kinnelon, NJ, and Tim Adair (Margie) of Dallas, GA.
Toney was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War era and was retired from the Federal Aviation Administration. He knew from early childhood that he wanted to fly airplanes and he made it his lifelong vocation. He loved his two little dogs, Windy and Jeanie, as does his wife, Bev, who will cherish their memories of him.
A visitation will take place from 10:00 - 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 with the funeral service to begin at 11:00 AM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 895 S. Goldenrod Rd., Orlando, FL 32822. Officiating clergy will be Mark R. Goble. Interment will be at Capel Canaveral National Cemetery, 5525 U.S. Highway 1, North, Mims, FL 32752 following the funeral service.
