Toy "Mac" McSwain, born in Shelby, NC to Frank and Stevie McSwain in 1940. Mac joined the Navy from a young age. He also retired from the post office after 23 years of service. He married his sweetheart, Carolyn Mayhew in 1960. Toy and Carolyn had two sons, Barry and Brian McSwain who reside in Orlando, Florida with their children. Mac was survived by his wife, Carolyn and sons Brian and Barry McSwain. Mac was an avid golfer and loved to tease his family and friends. He could be seen with a mischievous smile at any given moment.
Mac was preceded in death by both his parents as well as his sisters, Betty and Lucille. He is also survived by his sisters Vicki and Lena (Shelby, NC) as well as his grandchildren: Amber (Chris), Barry Jr (Brianna), Christina (Nate) and Cara. He had one great-grandson as well, Weston. He passed at the age of 75 with his wife by his side. He will be greatly missed.
