Vashawn Allen

Vashawn Allen, 20 of Orlando, FL passed away on January 19, 2025.  He was born on September 23, 2004 in Kingston, Jamaica.

The righteous perish, and no one takes it to heart; the devout are taken away, and no one understands that the righteous are taken away to be spared from evil. Those who walk uprightly enter into peace; they find rest as they lie in death. (Isaiah 57: 1-2). 

 Today, we stand here, overwhelmed with sadness of the passing of our dear Vashawn Allen, better known to many as .Vashawn Allen was born on September 23, 2004 in Kingston, Jamaica where he resided in Shooters Hill, Bull Bay with his grandmother Paulette Roye for practically all of his life. His parents were Nordia Wyles and Ruel Allen. He was the first of two children for both his parents. (There is always something special about first borns). Vashawn attended the Happy Venture Basic School where he matriculated to St, Aloysious Primary where he passed his GSAT examination. He was successful in obtaining a spot at one of the prestigious High school in Jamaica -Ardenne High School; at Ardenne High, he was successful with obtaining 8 CXC subjects which landed him a place at the University of West Indies. Shortly, thereafter, he migrated to the USA.igh school 

In May 2024, he joined his mother in the USA, where he lived out the latter part of is life. Vashawn was a very ambitious individual, he had a clear vision of what he wanted at a tender age; hence the reason for his success to-date. He loved to play football, sing, dance, and played around with the piano. He was truly a fun-loving person.

 On that sad morning of January 19, 2025. as he is heading out to work, the door-cam caught him singing “Praise him, Praise him”. This provides comfort and assurance that Vashawn lies in the bosom of God. This also demonstrates that he was brought up well loving and making God a priority in his life, which we can thank his grandmother for instilling this in him.

He died leaving Mother Nordia, Father Ruel, Sisters Tori and Mikaela and grandmothers Paulette and Zepporah. 

Vashawn, you will forever be in our hearts.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 1, 2025 from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, East Orlando Chapel with service to follow at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel.  Interment will follow at Edgewood Greenwood Cemetery in Apopka,
