Veronica Kenney

Veronica (Ronnie) Malatesta Kenney passed away on August 31, 2023, due to complications associated with metastatic breast cancer.
Ronnie was born in Baltimore Maryland on February 15, 1951, to Frank and Veronica Malatesta. She is survived by her husband Paul, her 5 children, 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 3 brothers, and 3 sisters.
Ronnie's family relocated to Florida when she was 6 years old, and she has been a Floridian ever since. She is a graduate of Bishop Moore High School and the University of Central Florida.
Ronnie's first marriage to her husband Larry ended in divorce after 29 years and she married her current husband Paul in October of 2002.
Ronnie had a number of jobs in her lifetime, the longest being a medical Office Manager for 17 years. She was very passionate in the area of spiritual growth and development and became a member of Unity Orlando in the early 1990's. After joining the church Ronnie began a rigorous course of study to become a Licensed Unity Teacher. After achieving that goal in February 2007, she taught many classes on spirituality, became a member of the Unity Orlando Board of Directors, and coordinated the churches chaplain program. In October of 2019 she was ordained as the Assistant Minister at Unity Orlando. A position she held until she passed.
Ronnie has always been an exceptionally loving and compassionate person. She loves her immediate and extended family members intensely as well as her high school classmates and her congregation at Unity Orlando. Her positive energy and outlook on life is infectious and she has been a blessing to everyone who knows her. Most of her Sunday sermons have been posted on YouTube and will continue to inspire people for years to come. Her physical presence will be missed by many, but we take comfort in knowing her spiritual presence will always be with us.
A memorial service for Ronnie will be held at Unity Orlando on September 17th at 1:00 P.M. The service for Ronnie will also be live streamed, via: unityorlando.org
