Victor M Rosario

October 20, 1950 — June 17, 2023

Our beloved Victor M. Rosario, Sr. passed away peacefully in his home on Saturday, June 17, 2023. He was born in Caguas, Puerto Rico, to Rufino and Genara Rosario on October 20, 1950. He married Margarita Alamo, his devoted wife, on January 20, 1973, and moved to Orlando in 1979. He was preceded in death by his son, Rene Rosario Alamo, his parents, and his siblings, Maria Cristina, Heriberto, and Carlos Rosario.

Victor was an avid gardener who could make anything grow. There was never a day when he could not be found in the backyard watering his plants, even when a thunderstorm was approaching. He especially loved growing culantro, ajises dulces, papayas, and gandules from his native Puerto Rico. La Isla del Encanto was never far from Victor's heart and did not end with his gardening. His passion for food and his zeal for life began on the island. You could often find Victor talking about the newest Puerto Rican restaurant or the best way to roast a pig or make mofongo. He was always willing to share his tips for the best seasoning for pernil and would always have a seat for bacalaitos and a piece of Tres Leches.

His contagious spirit did not stop there. Victor worked at "the happiest place on Earth." Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, was his second home until his stroke in 2000 when he retired. He instilled in his family his love for all things Disney and always ensured he was the first to give his granddaughters and great-granddaughter their ears.

He was a man of faith who dedicated his life to his family. He was the type of person who always had a kind word, a moment to talk, or thoughtful advice to give. He was committed to his Jehovah's Witness roots and never faltered in his beliefs. His faith provided him the strength to courageously battle his cancer diagnosis with courage, optimism, and peace until the end.

Victor is survived by Margarita Rosario, his wife of 50 years, his son Victor (Maritza) M. Rosario, Jr., and his son Dennis (Stephanie) Rosario. He leaves behind his grandchildren: Victor M. Rosario III, Maria (Dennis) Martinez, Madison Rosario, Carlos Rosario, Zachary Martinez, Kymani Fernandes, Natan Rosario, and Margarita "Maggie" Rosario. He also leaves his great-grandchildren Skylar Little Rosario, Zariah Montalvo, Caldor Little Rosario, his sister Lydia (Victor) Rodriguez, and brother Rufino (Myrta) Rosario.

Victor's viewing will occur at Newcomer Funeral Home on Thursday, June 22, 2023, from 5-8 pm. His burial will be at 2 pm at Chapel Hill Cemetery, 2420 Harell Road, Orlando, FL 32817, on Friday, June 23, 2023. His discurso/talk will be at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses located at 1401 Woodbury Road Orlando, FL 32828 at 2 pm.

Deja atrás a sus nietos: Victor M. Rosario III, Maria (Dennis) Martinez, Madison Rosario, Carlos Rosario, Zachary Martinez, Kymani Fernandes, Natan Rosario y Margarita "Maggie" Rosario.
