Vinson C. Davenport, age 86 of Orlando passed away Wed. March 15, 2006. Born in Cherokee, N.C. he moved to Central Florida in 1945. He was a retired painter and member of the Church of God.
He is survived by his daughters, Ann Norris (Jerry) and Linda Lapin (Dennis) of Orlando; son Billy Davenport (Vicki) of Alachua, FL; sisters, Lillian Gilstrap, Thelma Moore and Tincy Welborn; brothers, Charlie and Richard Davenport; 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Sat. March 18, 2006 in the Chapel of Newcomer Family Funeral Home, 895 S. Goldenrod Road, Orlando. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Orlando.
Visitation will be held Friday from 7:00-9:00 PM.
