Virginia Louise Bowers, 99 of Orlando, Florida passed away on Monday, August 3, 2015.
She was born on October 19, 1915 in Rockingham County, Virginia to the late Luther and Almae (Lincoln) Strickler. Virginia retired from Helen Tyson Clothing in Singer Island, Florida and was an active member of St. Matthew's Episcopal Church in Orlando until illness took over. She enjoyed reading, crafts, playing cards and cooking. Virginia will be remembered as the glue that held the family together always spending time with her family, especially her daughter, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Sylvia J. Rhoads; brother, Luther J. Strickler, Jr.; grandchildren, Paul L. Rhoads and Susie E. Rhoads and her great-grandchildren, Randall R. Rhoads-Panachek, Jonathan D. Brewer and Ashley N. Rhoads.
