Virginia R. "Ginger" Pickett, 73 of Orlando passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2008. Born in Pittsburgh, PA, she moved to Central Florida in 1952. She retired from Orange County Public School Transportation. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and friend.
She is survived by her children, Lynda Wright (Jim), Shannon Pontero (Steven), Darren Pickett (Robin) and Thomas Pickett (Laura); siblings, Patricia Neal, Ed Jones, Robert Jones, Richard Jones (Carolyn); 10 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her life partner Maggie.
Memorial services will be held at 6:00 PM on Friday, March 7, 2008 in the chapel of Newcomer Family Funeral Home, 895 S. Goldenrod Rd. Orlando. 407-277-4227.
