Virginia Jean Snead

December 27, 1927 — August 23, 2021

Virginia Jean Snead, 93, of Orlando, Florida passed away on Monday, August 23, 2021 at Westminster Towers where she was a long-term care resident. A native of Madeira, CA, she grew up in Bristol and Abingdon, Virginia. She moved to Orlando in 1964. She had a long career as a PBX Operator, first with Western Union then McKellar Cadillac and retiring after 31 years with Orlando General Hospital/Florida East Orlando. She earned numerous employee awards and recognition for helping the homeless. She was best known for her southern sayings such as "Bless your angel heart". She loved dogs and passed that love on to her daughters. She loved and was extremely proud of her grandson. She traveled by Greyhound Bus once just to see him in college in Tennessee and laughed that it would be her last bus trip.

She is preceded in death by her parents; Clinton Armstrong Sandidge and Sallie Lewis Sandidge, daughters; Mona Lisa Snead and Jenny Lynn Snead. She is survived by her daughter; Kimberly Louloudis; grandson; Mark Snead and his wife Britt Snead, great-grandchildren; Mason Snead and Addison Snead.

There will be no service due to the Covid virus. We do not want to take the risk of anyone testing positive of Covid. We prefer to honor mom by keeping everyone safe.
