Vivian Burbage, 58, was granted her Angel Wings on June 12, 2023, at her home after a lengthy battle with cancer. Born December 5, 1964, in Queens, New York, Vivian attended St. John's University, graduating with a BS degree in Business Administration and Computer Science. She went on to receive her SHIRM Certified Professional Certification and HR Certification.
Vivian enjoyed a long and productive career with Enterprise Holding as an HR Manager. In her role, she was awarded the Human Resources Exceptional Achievement Award (Group 7) in 2010, 2011, 2015, 2016, and 2018. Additionally, Vivian was essential in supporting Enterprise Holding's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives throughout the company.
Vivian cared deeply for her community, which showed in her love of volunteerism and philanthropy. She was a treasure to so many and worked tirelessly to improve the lives of others through her work with the Florida Diversity Council, where she served as President of the Orlando Chapter and as an Advisory Board Member. During her time there, she led the Florida Diversity Council's Women in Leadership Symposium. Vivian was also an active volunteer with the United Negro College Fund (UNCF), United Way, Breast Cancer Foundation, American Heart Association, and Habitat for Humanity.
At the center of Vivian's life was her family, who she loved deeply. Her time with them is where she found true peace and happiness. At the heart of every moment of her life, her family was her refuge, her place of peace. The perfect day for her was time spent surrounded by those she loved, filling each moment with happiness.
Vivian embodied light and joy. She was passionate about helping others, creating opportunities to give and share happiness, and always spread love. Her Catholic faith was very important to her, and she found solace and comfort in worship. She lived and loved with an eternal hope for others always.
Her beautiful spirit will always be a bright light, forever shining on everyone she touched. Vivian's ability to give love was a gift that she shared so readily with others, her heart one of service with a true desire to help others shine and find their happiness. Her wish was that her Homegoing be one of light and beauty, and that all her friends and family remember her with bright colors – just as she always gave us light and happiness, on this day, we honor her with that same light and happiness.
1 Corinthians 16:14 Let all that you do be done in love.
