Vivienne Frew Hewlett
August 18, 1932 — July 24, 2023
Vivienne Frew Hewlett passed on to be with our Heavenly Father on July 24, 2023. She was preceded by her husband of 52 years, Dr. George Hewlett Sr in May 2007, who has been patiently waiting for her.
She is survived by her brother Ken Frew of Harrisburg, PA, her daughter, Laura Darden of Chapin, SC and her 2 sons, George Hewlett Jr., of Altamonte Springs, FL and Dr. Todd Hewlett of Jacksonville, FL and by their combined extended families. Long list includes grandchildren, Jennifer, Jay, Sandra, Jonathan, Dylan, Christopher….and 9 great-grandchildren. She would say they're all God's children, those not mentioned by name, and would probably ask why stop listing names. She raised a family of dogs and then some and loved animals of all sorts, always talking about a farm to keep them all on.
Vivienne graduated from Harrisburg Hospital school of nursing in1952, married Dr. George Hewlett, Sr., of Newville, PA in 1955. She became an OBGYN nurse practitioner in the 1970s and went into practice with her husband in Vero Beach/Sebastian, FL and finally in Orlando, FL. She was athletic growing up in Pennsylvania; and a life long lover of music, in the strongest terms possible. She would say her heart remained in the Washington, DC metro area, Virginia and Pennsylvania after relocating to Vero Beach, FL in 1976. They, my Mom and Dad, grew to love the North Carolina mountains and woods, and journeyed back and forth from Central Florida to Western North Carolina continuously for many years. We will all, always be together.
