Walter Edward Kennedy II
My brave boy stopped fighting Muscular Dystrophy today, February 23, 2015. He was born to Dorothy and Robert Kennedy on September 8, 1942 in Elkton, Maryland. He was graduated from Jacob Tome High School in Port Deposit, Maryland. He owned and operated a grocery store in Port Deposit until 1972 when he retired to Florida. His hobby was writing poetry. He excelled at chess, at one time having played against a world-ranked grandmaster, and achieving a win and a draw. In his prime he was also a great pool player.
Wally is survived by his mother, Dorothy Mew, step-father, Bill Mew, son, Jeffrey Burgess, daughter Linda Miller, granddaughters Jennifer, Moarine and Nerissa, great-grandchildren, Kennedy, Braxton, Jerry and Dominic, sister, Patricia, brothers, Bruce Schuette and Michael Mew, niece Mila Brewster, nephews Robert Lowell Jr., and Alexander Mew, and grand-nephew Cheydon Brewster.
Wally fought Muscular Dystrophy all his life, and should be an inspiration to all who suffer from a catastrophic disease or any other handicap.
