Walter George Keller, 70 of Orlando passed away Sat. Sept. 3, 2011. He was born in Newark, N.J. in 1941 as the son of a British Immigrant. Walt served 20 years in the U.S. Navy on submarines as a torpedo man retiring a Senior Chief Petty Officer. After his retirement, he worked 20 more years at First Baptist Church of Orlando in Production Services. His primary job was to build sets for Easter presentations and 28 years of The Singing Christmas Trees.
He and his family have been members of FBC/Orlando since 1975, active in Sunday school leadership, choir members and choir sponsors for student choir and several mission trips around the world.
Walt is survived by his wife of almost 48 years, Barbara Kluttz Keller, two children and six grandchildren who call him Bampy. Son, Bill Keller, daughter-in-law Paula Keller, their children, Megan, Jenna and Lily. Daughter, Beth Bosco, her children, Ali, Lauren and Emma. Brother, Richard W Keller.
