Walter J. Ogletree, Jr.

Walter Jackson Ogletree, Jr. passed away on April 30, 2016. Walter was born on April 25, 1940. Walter went by "Jack". He was married to the love of his life Maryrose Ogletree for over 50 years. They were married on April 28, 1962. Jack was preceded in death by his father, Walter J. Ogletree, Sr.; his wife, Maryrose and daughter, Patricia. Jack is survived by his son, Walter J. Ogletree, III; his grandchildren, Amanda, Jordan, and Shelby; his great-grandchildren, Kaitlynn, Aiden, Patricia and Damon. He spent 20 years in the United States Navy and retired as a Chief Electricians Mate. At the age of 40 he went to college and earned his Associates Degree in Nursing. He spent 15 years working at Florida Hospital in the emergency room. He was in the order of Merlin with the International Brotherhood of Magicians and Ring 170 in Orlando, FL. He had a great love of life and spent time with his wife traveling around the world and visiting all 50 states. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family. You could always count on him to help when someone asked. He will he greatly missed by both family and friends. Visitation will be held from 5PM-9PM, Thursday, May 5 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Orlando. A funeral mass will be held at 10AM, Friday, May 6 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church.
