Wanda M. Davidson
1927 - 2022
Wanda M. Davidson, 95, of Maitland, Florida passed away on July 28, 2022. She was born January 31, 1927, in Manville, NJ to Thomas and Antonina Majka. Wanda attended Manville Public Schools and graduated from Bound Brook High School. After graduation she completed Western Union Telegraph Company's Operator and Managers school. Wanda and William A. Davidson, Sr. (Bill) were married on October 22, 1949. Wanda worked as a Manager for Western Union while living in Indiana and Fort Bliss, TX. In 1956 Wanda and Bill moved to Orlando, Florida, finally settling in Maitland in the early 1960's where they raised their 3 children.
Wanda was a homemaker until her children were grown when she returned to work as an accountant/bookkeeper for TRW. Upon retirement, Wanda and Bill enjoyed traveling the US and Canada in their motorhome. Wanda was a wonderful and caring mother and grandmother. She enjoyed family, friends, playing bridge, fishing, and bowling.
She is predeceased by her husband William A. Davidson, Sr., her son William A. Davidson, Jr., and her daughter Judith A. Gray, her sisters, Agnes, Ann, Bernice, Julie, Helen, her brothers, John, Edward, and Chester. Survivors include her daughter Patricia Thilmony (Miles), 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild.
Memorial Mass is Monday, August 15, 2022 at 11:00 am at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, 861 Maitland Ave, Altamonte Springs, FL 32701.
Inurnment will be at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
