Wanda M. Gryder died peacefully at home on June 24th, 2021 at the age of 91. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ronald.
Wanda was born on May 14th, 1930 in Golden Pond, Kentucky. She moved to Knoxville, Tennessee as a teen and attended Young High School, followed by Knoxville Business College. She and Ronald were married on September 9, 1950. She worked as a bookkeeper and accountant. Her dream of living in Florida was fulfilled in 1968 when the family moved to Orlando. After the birth of her grandchildren she became Mimi to everyone. Wanda would religiously watch her NASCAR races, football games, and soap operas. She loved to pass time playing her games, reading novels, and bird watching; and she definitely cherished her trips to Las Vegas where she'd dominate the slot machines.
Wanda is survived by her children Ronda Shami and Robert Gryder and grandchildren Destiny Shami, Philip Gryder and Reichal Gryder.
