Wilhelmena Jones, age 91 of Kissimmee, FL passed away on December 9, 2023.
Wilhelmena Jones was born on July 26, 1932 in Cumberland County, NC to the union of John and Lucy Fuller. She was the 3rd oldest of 9 siblings. Wilhelmena graduated from Fayetteville State University in 1956 with a Bachelor's Degree in elementary education. She worked as a teacher earlier in her career and then retired from the New York City Department of Social Services. She lived mostly in New York, but also lived in Maryland, Kentucky and Florida.
Wilhelmena was a devoted Christian and an outstanding mother of the church community. She will be missed but forever always loved.
Wilhelmena is survived by her children: Gloria Fuller, Gary Jones, Darryl Jones and Robert Jones Jr.; her sister, Frances Fuller; her 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 16, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, East Orlando Chapel, 895 S. Goldenrod Rd. Orlando, FL. The service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 12:00 PM. Interment will follow the service at Rose Hill Cemetery, Kissimmee, FL.
