Willam Edward James Kindell

William Edward James Kindell

Born May 5, 1955, in Troy, New York, Edward died peacefully at his residence on June 15, 2022. He was preceded in death by his father William Harvey Kindell II and Mother Joanne (McNutt) Kindell. He was the third of six children.

He is survived by his brother John, his children Paige Janson and Ashley Kindell, Sister, Kathy Kindell Luca (husband Anthony) their children Franklin Jamie and Sarah Luca, Brother Robert Kindell (wife Christine) their children Jessica, Daniel and Leah Kindell, Sister Nancy Kindell Stout (husband Eric) their children Nicole Fishalow and Jackie Fishalow Smith, Brother Richard (wife Kimberly) their children Jennifer and Matthew Kindell.

Edward spent his childhood in Madeira Ohio near Cincinnati where he attended most of his high school years before moving to Tampa, Florida with his family in 1972. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School. Edward went on to receive his Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts from the University of South Florida. Edward was an artist from the get-go as he drew cartoons all through his childhood. In the seventies he created his own cartoon satire that featured "Tricky Dick" Nixon. A very talented artist Edward favored painting with oils on canvas. He was a member of the St. Christopher Episcopal Church in Bay Crest, Fl. near Tampa. He dedicated his time to volunteer in soup kitchens. Following the death of his father Edward moved to Altamonte Springs in 2018.


Edward was a great outdoorsman. As a child he journeyed on many camping vacations with his family. He loved sailing on his father's vintage 41-foot Chesapeake Bay Ketch, the Andromeda. He loved saltwater fishing, hiking, nature walks, bird watching, building war ships and aircraft. He followed and studied his father's and grandfather's navy careers in the Pacific Theatre before during and after WWII. He particularly studied all forms of wildlife, especially fish and birds. He could identify almost any bird just by hearing them chirp and sing. He was a fanatic of all Cincinnati and Tampa pro sports teams. He enjoyed the company of his pets, Yo- Yo, a Conurer and a generation of family dogs.

An outpouring of love was given out at Edwards passing most notably from Carolyn and Greg saying that their hearts are heavy and sending condolences to siblings and Kin. They go on to say that "along with his father, Ed was one of the most tender- hearted people. I've ever known. Gentle, kind and like everyone in his immediate family, a fine sense of humor. Ed lived every day of his life within the constant, loving circle of his caring and generous family." Ann Simpson followed by saying that she echoes what Carolyn had written and adding that "talking with Ed on the phone was always a delight. Ed kept me up to date on the latest news and always had a bit of family history to share. I will miss those talks and will treasure the memories I have of Ed. Much love from Bland and me"
