William Columbus "Bill" Carter, Jr. age 72 of Orlando passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2011.
He was born in Reidsville, North Carolina and moved to Central Florida over thirty years ago.
Bill served in the United States Navy and was a Veteran of the Vietnam War. He graduated in 1978 from Southern College with a degree in Business Management. He worked for many years as a Police Officer and Radar Expert for the City of Orlando. He later worked for Tri State Carriers as a Safety Director. Bill also was the owner of his own Carpet Business in Orlando which did the work for Westgate Resorts. Bill and his wife, Mila established a home for animals at their home and has helped over 300 cats get spayed and neutered. Bill was a Mason and a Shriner.
Bill is survived by his wife, Mila Carl-Carter; brothers, Cecil and Lonnie Carter; sisters, Virginia Carter, Shirley Walls and Linda Hinson.
