William Gregory Hixson, a beloved figure of kindness and creativity, passed away due to complications of Multiple Sclerosis on February 13, 2025, at the age of 62 in Orlando, Florida. Born on December 2, 1962, in Bedford, Ohio, William was known for his warm-hearted nature and his remarkable talent as a musician.
A proud Navy veteran, William dedicated much of his life to serving his country and contributing to his local community. He built a career as a driver in the recycling industry, but his true passion was music. William was a local musician who wrote, recorded, and performed, showcasing his ability to play multiple instruments. Many will fondly remember him playing on stage with his band, where his creative spirit shone brightly.
William had a deep love for NASCAR, and he cherished the values of patriotism. A man ahead of his time, he inspired those around him with his faithfulness and artistic vision, embodying the essence of a true creative soul.
He is survived by his wife, Michele Denise Hixson, who stood by him throughout their journey together. William is also survived by three brothers, William Raymond Hixson, Derek Scott Hixson, and Ricky Hillis. He leaves behind his son, Joey Hixson, and his daughter, Megan Hixson, who will carry forward his legacy.
William is preceded in death by his mother, Marlene Louise Fox, and his father, William Albert Hixson. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him, as they cherish the moments shared and the melodies he created.
A burial service will be held at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery in Mims, Florida, on February 27, 2025, beginning at 9:30 AM. Friends and family are invited to join in honoring a truly remarkable man who touched the lives of many.
