William "Keith" Patterson of Orlando, Florida was born in Barberton, Ohio on December 8, 1933. He passed away on February 13, 2020 at the age of 86.
As a proud member of the United States Air Force, Keith met Waltraud Fabish while stationed in Germany. He made her his wife on May 25, 1956. Together they had five children.
After exiting the military, Keith returned to Ohio for many years before retiring in Florida with his wife.
Keith spent his retirement enjoying golf, basketball, and spending time with his grand kids. He made many friends through the years at the American Legion and German American Club as well as everywhere he went. He always had to say hello to anyone he met.
Keith is preceded in death by his wife, Waltraud "Val"; son, Gordon Patterson; parents, Cyril and Rebecca; brothers, Richard and Wyatt; and his sister, Gloria.
He is survived by his daughter, Gloria Patterson, affectionately known to him as "Peaches" and his "Angel"; his sons, Michael "Butch" Patterson, Steve (Jeannie Lotti) Patterson, and Robert "Bob" Patterson; grandchildren, Jason (Danielle) Patterson, Pattie Ann Patterson, Valerie (Eddie) Morales Tejada, and Renee Yates; and his great-grandchildren, Donovan, Abigail, Zakkery, Michayla, Braidleigh, and the "lost and found" one, Gabrielle.
Keith's family would like to thank Encore at Avalon Park and Cornerstone Hospice for their care and support during this difficult time.
A gathering will be held at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions on Sunday, February 23, 2020 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm. The United States Air Force will deliver honors at 3:00 pm, followed by a funeral service officiated by Pastor Thomas Hensley.
