Willie Lee Jordan
Willie Jordan, age 90, of Orlando, Florida passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2022. He was born in Franklin, TN on December 18, 1931, to John Henry and Susie Lee Jordan.
He graduated from Franklin Training School in Franklin, TN. He served in the Army at Company C 1st Engineer Combat Battalion during the Korean War and received several medals for his service. After his service in the Army, he worked as a mechanical engineer in the elevator industry for over 30 years with Kone Elevator Company in Louisville, Kentucky.
He was a dedicated member of Joshua Emmanuel Tabernacle Missionary Baptist church in Louisville, Kentucky where he attended regular service and organized and led the transportation ministry.
Willie was preceded in death by his parents, John Henry and Susie Lee Jordan; siblings, John Henry Jordan, Jr., Matylene Franklin, Patricia Mayberry; and life-partner, Juanita Wade.
He leaves to cherish his memory: William L. (Shannon) Jordan of Orlando, FL, Sue E. (Thomas) Lanier of Nashville, TN, Teresa A. Jordan of Nashville, TN, Linda F. Jordan of Murfreesboro, TN, Jacqueline A. Jordan of Stockbridge, GA; four grandchildren; Manolito F. Jordan, Thomas L. Lanier, Jr., Cheriese L. Bridgeforth, Jatasha N. Baker; seven great-grandchildren; three brothers, Charles C. (Julie) Jordan, Bobby (Hazel) Jordan, Tommy (Patricia) Jordan; four sisters, Shirley Dalton, Johnnie L. Dalton, Jocelyn J. Dotson and Barbara Golden; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, April 1, 2022, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 895 S. Goldenrod Road, Orlando, FL 32822. Funeral services will immediately follow at 12:00 PM. Interment with Military Honors will follow at 2:00pm at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, 5525 US-1, Mims, FL 32754.
