Wilson Phillips McCoy Jr., 83 of Orlando, Florida passed away on Monday, September 29, 2014.
Wilson was born on July 19, 1931 in McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania to Wilson and Mary (Carroll) McCoy. He was a Veteran of the United States Army during the Korean War. He spent two years at LaTourneau College in Texas and then had a very diverse career with computers, office furniture and interior plant design. The last eighteen years of his working career was spent with Goodwill Industries as a store manager and director and project manager building several stores. During those years, he took a two year hiatus to fulfill his lifelong dream of being a missionary.Wilson was always very active in church youth and working with children. In 2008, he and his wife, Nona moved to Florida and he volunteered with Wycliffe, an international non profit Christian organization that does Bible translations. Wilson Phillips McCoy, Jr. was a faithful and dedicated husband, father and grandfather that loved his family with all his heart.
Wilson is survived by his wife of 60 years, Nona Louise McCoy; son, Dean McCoy, daughter, Sandra McCoy, daughter, Diane Elaine Kile, and daughter, Susan Lynn Overstreet; son-in-law, Alan P. Kiczula, son-in-law, Brian J. Kile, son-in-law, J.D. Overstreet and daughter-in-law, Denise McCoy; 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
