Witmer Posey

Posey, Witmer- Age 84, longtime resident of Orlando went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 9, 2004. He was born on April 19, 1920 in Oneida, TN. He was a member of Pine Creek Baptist Church, Oneida, TN, and was a Mason and a Shriner. Mr. Posey was a prisoner of war with the Army Infantry during WWII in Germany. He received the Purple Heart for his military service. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Lucille Marcum Posey; son, Witmer Lee Posey, Knoxville, TN, daughter, Gaylia Aldrich, Orlando, FL, son, Marshall Posey, Orlando, FL; sister, Hettie Hutson of Patricksburg, IN; six grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Marshall Posey, Jr. Funeral services will be held at 4:30 P.M., on Sunday, December 12, 2004 in the Newcomer Family Funeral Home East Orlando Chapel, 895 S. Goldenrod Road, Orlando, with Pastor Daniel Green officiating. Visitation for friends will be this evening (Saturday) from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. Interment will be at 10:00 AM on Monday, December 13, 2004 in Chapel Hill Cemetery.
