Woody Edward Riley, Sr. 87 passed away April 20, 2010. He was born in Chipley, FL and attended Friends Community Church in Orlando. He was a retired Military Veteran of the U.S. Navy where he served 22 years.
He was a beloved husband to G. Opal Riley for almost 60 years. Beloved father to two sons, W. Ed Riley of Orlando, FL and Gregory Riley of Lakeland, FL. Beloved grandfather of W. Eddie Riley III of Orlando, FL, Deanne Riley of Orlando, FL and Noah Riley of Lakeland, FL. Also survived by three great grandchildren, two sisters, Alta Britt of Pensacola, FL, Lucille Cornish of Montgomery, AL and brother, Kenneth Riley of Eufula, AL. He was preceded in death by his parents Willie Redden Riley and Ina Duncan Riley; sister, Wyvonne Taylor.
Visitation will be held from 5PM-9PM Friday, April 23 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 895 S. Goldenrod Rd. Orlando. Funeral services will be held at 1PM Saturday, April 24 at the funeral home. Interment with military honors will follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery, Orlando.
He is greatly missed by family and friends and will be a void in our lives until we see him once more. We love you and our hearts are broken.
