Xavier Dimitri Melendez, age 28, of Orlando, Florida passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 9, 2023 at his home in Orlando.
He was born on November 18, 1994 in Worcester, MA, son to his parents, Michaelle Merced and Javier Melendez. He grew up in Southbridge, MA and later came to Florida to be a caretaker to his grandmother. He was a beloved member of the Grateful Dead Family, and loved to travel the country. Xavier was presently working as a line cook at the Wok'In Blues Café.
Xavier is survived by his parents, mother Michaelle Merced of Aspen, CO; and father, Javier Melendez of Leicester, MA; grandparents, Vilma Merced, and Germana Melendez; his longtime partner, Victoria Putnam; and many aunts, uncles, and friends all over the country who adored him.
